Spring, Family, and some Holga.

The beautiful weather that graced Columbia last week allowed me to take some really great shots...so this is going to be a kind of lengthy post. My family came to visit as well. My little brother, Addison, was more concerned with the NFL draft though. We left him in my dorm room for most of the day, which made me kind of sad. I don't understand why we are so different.

Beth, Derek, and I laid beneath a tree outside of Hatch instead of doing our homework. I couldn't think of a better way to spend the afternoon.

Derek read "The Sound and the Fury" while we napped.

Addison spent a lot of time in the hotel pool this weekend. I went in once...but I can't really swim very well.

I took the family to Kayotea...my mom got a strawberry chicken wrap that she loved until my dad told her it tasted like acidic vomit. Good one, Dad.

We ate some gooey butter cake at Kaldi's to make up for the vomit wrap. I love photographing food. Actually...I just love food.

A trip to Columbia is not complete without a trip to Big Tree.

We also went to Cooper's Landing for Thai food and live music. This same man was playing when I went there in the fall too!

My Dad is just too cool.

Sunsets...

This is hilarious. My mom is beautiful...my dad is goofy. I love them so much.

I almost forgot! I got my second ever roll of color 120 back Saturday. For once, I didn't screw up an entire roll on my Holga. This was my favorite shot.

I See You, You're Walking Cross the Campus...

Nothing too special here. I've been pretty stressed out lately, so I took a walk yesterday. I didn't really shoot anything too worthwhile though. I've been frustrated. As always.

I found some lovely red tulips next to the conservation building, but after I left, I realized I shot with a super high ISO. I had forgotten to change it from the night before. Sigh. Noise.

This...thing...is next to Jesse Hall. I feel like I should know what it is. But I have no idea. It was photogenic though.

Another angle.

Pretty petals. They smell so nice. Derek gave me a dogwood branch the other night because he didn't realize what it smelled like. Ugh. These are much nicer.

I love the moooon. I wish I had a better zoom. And a tripod. And knowledge of how to take a proper night photo.

Wednesday...In the Park

Yesterday, Beth, Rob and I took the afternoon off and ventured to Cosmo Park and Stephens Lake Park. It was a really nice break...even though I should have gone to the Stat review and studied for my French speaking exam.

I had a dream last night in which I woke up at 10:13 a.m...and my speaking quiz was supposed to be at 10:17. Then I actually woke up, jumped out of bed, sleepily stumbled to my alarm clock and saw that it was 8:30. I wish I didn't worry so much.

Also...I've recently discovered that a lot of my Photoshop options are missing. I can't get Bridge to work and it is slow, slow, slow. I need a better version because iPhoto is annoying me.

Swinging. It was kind of hard for me to get a shot that wasn't blurry (this one isn't so clear when enlarged). Action is something I really need to work on.

I think Rob has the mirror image of this. We are so creative and funny.

This is just plain terrifying! Who would want to ride this thing? Not I.

It was my first time at Stephens Lake...and I couldn't get over how blue the water was! Most lakes I've been to were brown...

This is hilarious to me. I really overexposed this shot, and black and white was the only way I could make it look halfway decent. I just love the supa serious face Rob has.

I think we would have stayed here all day if possible.

Shoot it RAW.

I think I am lost in the world of photo jargon. My lack of technicality makes me feel really mediocre and talentless.

So, I'm trying. I'm in over my head, but maybe that is the best way to learn.

Anyway...I'm done feeling sorry for myself.

An accidental photo that turned out straight up BAMF. It was dark, we were standing under a street light, I chose the wrong aperture (as usual...I have no idea). The flash fired, I moved the camera, and this was the result. It looks much better on my computer though...

Oh diner, how I love thee. Colors, lines, and niceness. Paige walked out of the bathroom just as I took the shot, but I think it turned out nicely because of her reflection in the window.

I just took this because I couldn't believe Rob ate it. Chili, hashbrowns, and God knows what else at 11:30 p.m. on a Thursday? Wow.

I went to Sparky's for the first time Friday. Delish. Carrot Cake ice cream is genius.

More fun with reverse macro. This is a Daffodil...but it kind of looks like a fungus.

My cameo necklace. I love macro a little too much.

As if I needed another blog.

Why do I do these things?
Anyway...I guess I will post some photos on here every now and then. It seems to be the thing to do.

And I don't think I can change the name of this. I am stuck with "Peer Pressure" as my title. Sweet sweetness.

Bloggy blog blog. Time for non-related pictures.

Experiment In Reverse Macro.

Not quite enough light going on in my room for this. You'd think that those oh-so-flattering florescent lights would be good for something. I hope to try this again sometime...maybe with some flowers outside. You know I love flowers.

Spring Time.

I love Mizzou. I really do. I love it even more when there are actually signs of life on campus. It's been gray here for way too long.

Cooper's Landing

Some friends went to Cooper's Landing last weekend for Paige's birthday. I should try to be social more often...it was nice. Also, it didn't hurt that it was beautiful. Thai food for breakfast is also interesting.
